Fitch continues career at Louisiana-Monroe

Sophomore point guard Lauren Fitch signed to continue her career with the University of Louisiana-Monroe.

Fitch, a Decatur, Ala. native, averaged 13.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.6 assists in her sophomore season at ICC. She had a season-high in points (28) and rebounds (10) in the Lady Indians' 99-59 road win over Coahoma Community College and dished out a season-high 10 assists on the road against Wallace-Selma Community College (Ala.).  

The 5-foot-4 point guard scored in double figures in 14 of the 22 games she started and shot 52.9 percent from the field. Fitch was named as a Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) All-Star and earned First Team All-State honors. A NCAA Division I school, ULM competes in the Sun Belt conference.
