Pounds named to NJCAA All-Region team

FULTON, MS – Sophomore guard Jabria Pounds was named a second team National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Region 23 team member, the association announced on Wednesday.
Pounds was the Lady Indians' offensive leader, averaging a team-high 16.1 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 2.7 steals per game. The Nettleton native shot 53.8 percent from the floor and 33.3 percent from three while connecting on 69.7 percent from the free throw line. She also dished out 1.9 assists per game this season.
ICC finished 17-8 on the season with a run to the NJCAA Region 23 semifinal game after winning their third-straight North Division Championship.
Pounds is the second All-Region basketball selection at ICC, as she joins men's first team member Brian Halums (Hollandale, MS).
