Lady Indians defeat Northeast to remain perfect in division

FULTON, MS – The Itawamba Community College women's basketball program picked up it's eleventh consecutive over Northeast Mississippi Community college with a 65-60 win Thursday.
The Lady Indians (12-3, 4-0 MACJC North) fell behind early but rallied to hold a 10 point advantage, 32-22 at the break.
In the second half, sophomore Treasure Evans (Horn Lake) led a charge to give the Lady Indians to a 16 point lead, their largest lead of the contest.
The Lady Tigers (6-8, 1-3 MACJC North) rallied in the fourth quarter and pulled with in three points ,63-60 win under 30 seconds remaining in regulation. Jabria Pounds (Nettleton) put the game out of reach hitting a pair of free throws, allowing the Lady Indians to pick up the 65-60 win.
Evans led paced the Lady Indians with 12 points, while the Lady Tigers had four score in double figures led by Dashiyah Agnew with 14.
The Lady Indians put their perfect division record on the line again Tuesday when they host East Mississippi Community College at 6:00 pm. in Fulton.
