FULTON, MS – The nationally ranked Shelton State Community College Lady Bucs put together a 9-0 run late in the fourth quarter to escape Fulton with a 79-70 win over Itawamba Community College and remain undefeated.

After three quarters and 14 lead changes, the Lady Indians took the lead on back-to-back three-pointers from Jabria Pounds, (Nettleton) and Treasure Evans (Horn Lake), but the No. 17 Lady Bucs rallied to tie the contest, 59-59, with just over six minutes to play.

After a Lady Indian timeout, the Lady Bucs (9-0) went on a 9-0 run over two minutes to take the lead for good.

In the first half, the Lady Indians rallied to take a late lead and held a 32-31 advantage at halftime, but the late offensive drought allowed the Lady Bucs to escape with the victory.

Sophomore Altonra Tucker (Lamar) led the Lady Indians with 13 points, followed by Ieysha Mays (Mound Bayou) with 12 and Pound with 11.

Tcheneavia Knight paced the Lady Bucs with 19 points.
