ELLISVILLE, MS - The ICC Lady Indians traveled to Jones County Junior College and passed their first road test of the season with a 78-72 win over the Lady Bobcats on Thursday.

Trailing 18-6 in the first quarter, the Lady Indians (4-0) rallied to take a 36-32 halftime lead behind a 14-point effort in the first half by Treasure Evans (Horn Lake).

Marlee Hatcher (Pontotoc) connected on a trio of threes in the third quarter to help give the Lady Indians a 56-53 lead heading into the final frame. 

Hatcher finished the night with 11 points.

Up by five with less than a minute to play, Alontra Tucker (Lamar) hit one-of-two from the charity stripe and Hatcher blocked a three-point attempt by the Lady Bobcats (3-2) to help seal the victory for the Lady Indians.

Evans paced ICC with 22 while Tucker scored 18 and Jabria Pounds (Nettleton) added 11 points in the win.

Tatyana Loften led Jones County with 22.

The Lady Indians will step out of region play and travel to Lawson State Community College (AL) on Saturday.
