FULTON, MS – Itawamba Community College's women's basketball program had a tough challenge in undefeated Snead State Community College Thursday night, but the Lady Indians stepped up and earned a dominating 72-44 win.

Freshman guard Marlee Hatcher (Pontotoc) score 17 first half points and hit three three-pointers to finish 7-15 from the floor for a game-high 20 points.

The game was tight in the second quarter as the Lady Parsons pulled within three but the Lady Indians powered through to extend their lead to 41-23 at the break.

Sophomore forward Raylin Starks (Cordova, TN) dominated the paint, scoring 14 points and picking up five rebounds, and Jabria Pounds (Nettleton) added 12 points.

Julianna Garner (New Albany) added a pair of three-pointers late as the Lady Indians cruised to victory.

Tyra Caudle and Danielle Gains-Jordan led the Lady Parson with six points each. 

The Lady Indians will be back in action Tuesday, November 10 at the Davis Event Center when they host Volunteer State Community College. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
