FULTON, MS – For the second time this season sophomore guard Jayla Chills has been named NJCAA Women's Player of the Week when the national office announced their weekly honors on Wednesday.

The Ripley native averaged 25.7 points, four rebounds, just under four assists, and one steal per game to help the Lady Indians win the 2015 NJCAA Region 23 Championship to earn a spot in next week's NJCAA Women's National Championship Tournament in Salina, Kansas.

She scored a career-high 34 points in the Lady Indians' win over previously unbeaten No. 16 Copiah-Lincoln Community College in last week's Region 23 semifinals.

The Lady Indians will face No. 18 Wabash Valley College (24-6) at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16 in the opening round of the NJCAA national tournament.
