FULTON, MS – Coach Nanci Gray announced former Lady Indian Latoya Collins has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her basketball career with the University of West Alabama.

"It's always exciting to be able to see our players sign at the next level," said Gray. "She leaves some big shoes to fill because she has been instrumental in our success over the past two seasons. We'll miss her, wish her the best, and we are excited about the good things that are going to happen to her in the future."

Last season, Collins was named to the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) All-State and All-Star teams after averaging 9.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game to help the Lady Indians advance to the state tournament and finish second in the North Division.

"It's a blessing to be able to continue my career at West Alabama," said Collins. "I've learned a lot during my time and it's been a great two years at ICC. I'm bless and what to thank everybody that contributed to help me on and off the court."

She averaged 8.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.0 assist per game to help the Lady Indians win their first National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 23 Championship and earn a spot in the NJCAA National Basketball Tournament since 1975.
