FULTON, MS – Sophomore point guard Leslie Robinson earned National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) academic awards when the organizations released their postseason honors last week.

Robinson earned the NJCAA Superior Academic Award and was named to the MACJC Distinguished Academic All-State list after finishing her final season at ICC with an impressive 3.94 GPA.

The Belmont native averaged 8.1 points per game while shooting 41.5 percent from the floor and connecting on 39.5 percent on her three point attempts while dishing out a team-high 4.5 assists per game and leading the Lady Indians with 1.6 steals per game.

As a freshman, Robinson etched her name in ICC lore when she connected on a pair of free throws with less than a second left to give the Lady Indians a 58-57 victory over Baton Rouge Community College in the 2013 NJCAA Region 23 Championship game and send ICC to the NJCAA National Tournament for the first time since 1975.
