FULTON, MS – Coaches have long preached to their players that free throws will win or lose ballgames.

Tuesday night in Fulton proved that to be true as the Lady Indians missed crucial free throws in their 74-70 double overtime decision to East Mississippi.

Leslie Robinson (Belmont) buried a three-pointer in the final seconds of regulation to send the game into overtime before a missed free throw allowed the Lady Lions to race down the floor and send the game into a second overtime with a buzzer beating jumper.

East Mississippi took care of business from the free throw line in the second and final overtime to pick up the four-point win.

Jayla Chills (Ripley) scored a game-high 23 with Lytia Coleman (Memphis, TN) and Kaelin Kneeland (Olive Branch) each adding 11 points for the Lady Indians (8-7, 4-1 MACJC North).

Kneeland recorded her first-ever collegiate double-double grabbing 13 rebounds on the night.
