FULTON, MS – It wasn't pretty, but the Lady Indians held off a late-game rally and sluggish finish to remain unbeaten in North Division play with a 71-64 win over the Northwest Lady Rangers on Monday.

Justice Martin (Olive Branch) hit a three-pointer to take a 67-60 lead at the 5:41 mark of the second half and that would be the last field goal of the game for the Lady Indians.

"We didn't finish the game with the intensity it takes to win on the road," said Coach Gray. "Luckily, we made some free throws and was able to limit their second shot opportunities down the stretch to be able to pick up the win."

Martin and Leslie Robinson (Belmont) combined to go 4-of-6 from the free throw line in the final 3:31 of the game to help ICC hold on for the second-straight victory.

Martin came off the bench to tie her season-high of 10 points.

"Justice is starting to play with the confidence we need her to play with to be successful," Gray said. "She brings a lot of energy off the bench on both sides of the floor and that's something we've really been missing this season."

Jayla Chills (Ripley) scored 17 points while Latoya Collins (Jackson) added 10 to help the Lady Indians improve to 7-6 and 3-0 in MACJC North Division play.

Tekevanna Young scored a game-high 18 points with Carshava Sutton adding 17 as the Lady Rangers fell to 8-3 and 2-1 on the year.
