ELLISVILLE, MS -- The ICC Lady Indians rallied from a double-digit deficit twice to defeat the Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats 68-66.

"It was a great come-from-behind win," said Coach Nanci Gray. "I was really proud to see the way the girls stepped up in that last part of the game to be able to find a way to win through a great combined team effort."

Leslie Robinson (Belmont) hit a running lay-up between a pair of Lady Bobcat (3-1, 0-0 MACJC South) defenders to put the Lady Indians (3-1, 0-0 MACJC North) up 65-64 with 20.7 left in the game.

Up 66-64, Ricki Hooker (Olive Branch) stepped in front of a Jones County pass that led to a pair of free throws by Latoya Collins (Forest Hill) to put ICC up 68-64 before a lay-up at the buzzer by Jones made the final score 68-66 in favor of the Lady Indians.

"I was just in the right place at the right time," said Hooker. "I was happy to do what I could to help the team win."

Collins finished with a game-high 18 points with Jasmine Golden (Center Hill) adding 12. Lytia Coleman (Memphis, TN) recorded her second double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

The Lady Indians will wrap up their four-game road tilt next Thursday when they travel to Meridian Community College.
