FULTON, MS – ICC freshman guard Jayla Chills (Ripley) has been selected as the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Women's Player of the Week.

Chills scored a combined 40 points with 14 rebounds, 8 assists, and 5 blocks to help the Lady Indians (2-1) open the season with an 89-75 upset win over No. 12 Three Rivers Community College and a 63-48 road win over Snead State Community College.

She scored a game-high 21 points and grabbed 9 rebounds while dishing out 5 assists, blocking 4 shots, and adding a steal in her collegiate debut against Three Rivers. She scored a game-high 19 points and had 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 block in the Lady Indians win over Snead State.

Chills and the Lady Indians will hit the road again Thursday night against Jones County Junior College and will wrap up their four-game road stint at Meridian Community College on Thursday, November 21 before returning to the Davis Event Center against Shelton State Community College on December 2.
