Softball announces fall schedule

Fulton, Miss. – The reigning Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) champion, Itawamba Community College softball program announced its fall schedule Wednesday.

The Indians will go head-to-head with four four-year programs and three junior college squads.

To open the fall schedule, the Indians will host Freed Hardeman University on Sept. 14 at noon.

On Sept. 27, the Indians will travel to Huntsville, Ala. Where they face Alabama A&M University and the University of Alabama-Huntsville. First game is scheduled for 4 p.m.

The Indians will hit the road again on Oct. 11 when they travel to Florence, Ala. To take on the University of North Alabama, Pensacola State Community College and Wallace State Community College. Games are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.

To close the fall, the Indians will travel to Jackson, Tenn. on Oct. 19 to take on Jackson State Community College and host Union University, beginning at 1 p.m.

Last season, the Indians went 40-16-1, won the MACJC Tournament, runner-up in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 23 Tournament and advanced to the NJCAA National Tournament.
