No. 10 Indians' season comes to an end in national tournament

CLINTON, Miss. – The No. 10 Indians' historic season came to an end after a 3-1 loss to No. 16 Johnson County (KS) on the third day of the NJCAA Division II National Tournament on Thursday.

The Indians struck first when Hope Harbin (Columbus) singled to score Rachel Sternisha (Olive Branch). The Cavaliers drew three-straight bases-loaded walks in the bottom half of the inning to take a 3-1 lead after one inning of play.

ICC left nine runners on the bases in the loss.

Macey Cox (Troy, Tenn.) had a double while Harbin, Samantha Conley (Mandeville, LA), Summer Cryder (Tupelo), and Jessica Davis (Cumberland) each had a single.

Johnson County only managed three hits, but took advantage of seven walks and two errors to pick up the win.
