FULTON, Miss. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced its 2019 All-American teams for the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II softball Thursday, and three members of Itawamba Community College softball earned the prestigious honor.
Sophomores Olivia Burns (Grenada), Samantha Conley (Mandeville, La.) and freshman Mattie Meine (Olive Branch) were all named NFCA Second Team All-Americans.
The trio were also selected to the NJCA All-Region South Team earlier this week and earned All-Region 23 Team honors from the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and All-State First Team by the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC).
Burns, who recently signed with Delta State University, set numerous program pitching records in her two season's in Fulton, and finished her sophomore season with a 1.81 ERA and set the program record for single season wins with 27.
Conley finished her time in Fulton with another standout season behind the plate and at the plate, hitting .363 with 33 RBI, 12 doubles and 61 hits.
Meine started at short stop and was the lead off hitter, and she led the team in batting average (.419), slugging percentage (.585), hits (75), runs (63), triples (7) and stolen bases (51).

The trio helped the Indians to a 40-16-1 record, an MACJC Championship and a berth in the NJCAA National Tournament.
