Softball ranked No. 10 in NJCAA Preseason Poll

FULTON, Miss. –The Itawamba Community College softball program has been ranked at No. 10 in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Preseason Rankings released Tuesday. 

ICC's Indians are coming off a historic 2018 season where they won their first regular season Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) championship, finished at a program-high No. 3 in the final rankings and won a program-high 41-games.

The preseason ranking is the first for Coach Andy Kirk's squad since 2017, and the Indians are joined in the top 20 by NJCAA Region 23 foes, Jones College at No. 1 and LSU-Eunice at No. 3.

The Indians will open their 2019 campaign Feb. 2 at Jackson State (Tenn.) Community College before hosting the same Jackson State team on Feb. 9 for the home opener.
