No. 12 Indians take care of Coahoma, 12-0

FULTON, MS – The No. 12 Indians scored 12 runs on 18 hits in their 12-0 five-inning win over Coahoma Community College in the first game of the Breast Cancer Awareness Series on Tuesday.

Mamie Hollenhead (Mathiston) was a home run away from hitting for the cycle after going four for four with a double, triple, and two singles to push across a pair of runs while scoring three more to lead the Indians at the plate.

McKenzie Piper (Pell City, AL) went three for three with a pair of doubles to plate two runs while scoring two more. Alex Brown (Pontotoc) and Maura Jane Autry (Holly Springs) each added a pair of hits to the victory.

Carleigh Mills (Corinth) scattered three hits over four innings of scoreless action to improve to 11-4 on the season. Morgan Barrett (Smithville) closed out the game with a three up, three down top of the fifth that included a strikeout.
