Mills deals Indians to Game 1 win over Calhoun

FULTON, MS – Sophomore pitcher Carleigh Mills (Corinth) scattered three hits and struck out three in a complete game shutout victory to help the Indians pick up a 4-0 Game 1 win over Calhoun (AL) Community College on Wednesday.
McKenzie Piper (Pell City, AL) went three for three with a double, a RBI, and a pair of runs scored while Mamie Hollenhead (Mathiston) went two for three with a double, a RBI, and a run scored to lead the Indians at the plate.
Kaitlyn Rhodes (Alexandria, AL) and Mary Kansas Sullivan (Houston) each had a single to drive in a run. Hannah Williams (Philadelphia) and Alex Brown (Pontotoc) both added a single to the Indians' nine hits on the afternoon.
