Autry, Brown power Indians in Game 1 win at Marion Military

Marion, AL – Sophomores Maura Jane Autry (Holly Springs) and Alex Brown (Pontotoc) combined to go eight of nine with three doubles, four RBI, and five runs scored in the Indians 9-3 Game 1 victory at Marion Military on Saturday.
Autry went four for four with a double, two RBI, and three runs scored. Brown finished the game four for five with two doubles, two RBI, and two runs scored. Kaitlyn Rhodes (Alexandria, AL) finished the game with three hits while Meg Sullivan (Springville, AL) added a triple to the Indians' 16 hit total.
Caroline Dickins (Batesville) picked up her fourth win on the season after scattering five hits and allowing two earned runs and striking out five in a complete game effort.
