FULTON, MS – The nationally-ranked Indians couldn't come up with the timely hits they needed in a 3-2 loss to Jackson State (TN) Community College in the first of two games played on Saturday.

The Indians scored a run in the bottom of the first and added another in the bottom of the fifth, but saw the Generals rally with three runs in the top of the sixth to pick up the come-from-behind victory. ICC had the tying run in scoring position in the bottom of the sixth and seventh innings, but left them stranded in each inning.

Mamie Hollenhead (Mathiston) went 2 for 3 with a double, a run scored, and a RBI as the Indians only managed five hits in the loss.

Carleigh Mills (Corinth) surrendered three earned runs on five hits and one walk while striking out 10 in seven innings of work.
