Indians fall to Jefferson College, 2-1

BOONEVILLE, MS – The Indians wrapped up their afternoon in Booneville with a 2-1 loss to Jefferson College in this year's Tigerfest at Booneville City Park.
Each team posted a run in the fourth inning before Jefferson College picked up a run in the bottom of the sixth to earn the 2-1 victory over the Indians.
Hannah Williams (Philadelphia) drove in the lone run of the game for the Indians on a single while McKenzie Piper (Pell City, AL), Mamie Hollenhead (Mathiston), and Cori Childs (New Site) each added a hit to the Indians' four hits in the game.
Caroline Dickins (Batesville) was the pitcher of record after giving up two earned runs on six hits and a walk while striking out seven in six innings of work.
ICC will travel to Boaz, AL to face Chattanooga State (TN) Community College and Snead State (AL) Community College on Friday, March 24.
