Indians knock off Southwest Tennessee, 8-3

BOONEVILLE, MS – The Indians picked up an 8-3 win over Southwest Tennessee Community College in the first of three games in Saturday's Tigerfest at Booneville City Park on Saturday.
Alex Brown (Pontotoc), Mamie Hollenhead (Mathiston), and Meg Sullivan (Springville, AL) each had two hits and two RBI. Kaitlyn Rhodes (Alexandria, AL) also added a pair of hits and another RBI in the win.
Morgan Barrett (Smithville) picked up her first collegiate win after giving up two earned runs on three hits and three walks in three innings of work.
