Indians' bats struggle at Calhoun

DECATUR, AL – The Indians struggled to get any offense going in their 3-1 loss in the first game against Calhoun (AL) Community College on Tuesday.
The lone run of the game came on a solo home run by Meg Sullivan (Springville, AL) in the top of the first inning. Hannah Williams (Philadelphia) and Cori Childs (New Site) were the only other players to find their way on base with a hit in the loss.
Carleigh Mills (Corinth) gave three runs on seven hits and four walks while striking out three in five innings of work. Morgan Barrett (Smithville) struck out two and gave up one hit in an inning of scoreless action.
