Indians struggle at the plate in home opening loss

FULTON, MS – The Indians only managed to connect on three hits in their home opening, 2-1, loss to Snead State (AL) Community College on Monday.
Mary Kansas Sullivan (Houston), Alex Brown (Pontotoc), and Cori Childs (New Site) each had a single in the contest. Brown scored the lone run for the Indians in bottom of the fifth inning.
Carleigh Mills (Corinth) went the distance for the Indians to be the pitcher of record after giving up two runs on four hits.
The loss snaps a 22-game home win streak for the Indians.
