JACKSON, TN – The No. 8 Indians overcame a slow start to complete the sweep of Jackson State (TN) Community College with a 10-4 win in the second game of the Saturday afternoon doubleheader.

ICC scored five runs in the top of the sixth and five more in the top of the seventh to take a 10-0 lead. Jackson State rallied with four runs in the bottom half of the inning before the Indians found the final out of the game.

Alex Brown (Pontotoc) drove in four runs on two hits while Hannah Williams (Philadelphia) and Bre Harford (Southaven) each added a pair of hits to the Indians 12 hit total.

Caroline Dickins (Batesville) scattered two hits and struck out six in six innings of scoreless work to pick up the win in her collegiate debut.

ICC will host Snead State (AL) Community College on Monday, March 13 in its first home games at the newly renovated ICC Softball Complex.
