FULTON, MS – ICC held its No. 7 ranking in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Softball poll, released on Wednesday.

The Indians (39-8) went 2-0 last week, sweeping Southwest Mississippi Community College (23-21) to advance to this weekend's Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Softball Tournament.

Four of the top ten teams in the county will descend on the campus of Jones County Junior College when the Indians join No. 3 Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (43-3), No. 5 Jones County (39-6), and No. 10 East Central Community College (42-7) to battle for the conference title in Ellisville.

Seeded third in the championship field, ICC will play in the first game of the tournament Friday, facing second-seed Gulf Coast at 4:00 p.m. A victory would advance the Indians into Saturday's first semifinal game that is set to being at 2:00 p.m. while a loss would put the Indians in the 4:00 p.m. elimination game. Lose the 2:00 game or win the 4:00 game, the Indians would play in the second semifinal and elimination game at 6:00 p.m.

Championship Sunday will begin at 2:00 p.m. If necessary, the second championship game would follow at 4:00 p.m.

All ICC games can be seen on LetsGoICCTV.com/Red throughout the tournament.

LSU-Eunice (49-5) remains the top team in the country and will host the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament May 5-7. A win in the conference tournament would advance the Indians to the regional tournament for the first time since 2013.
