FULTON, MS – Sophomore middle infielder Haley Moore signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her softball career with the Lady Choctaws of Mississippi College.

"I'm really excited to continue my career," said Moore. "I'm grateful for my friends, family, teammates and coaches for all helping me along the way."

Moore (Booneville) earned Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) All-North Division First Team and National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Region 23 honors after finishing her sophomore season with a .373 batting average, 21 RBI, 44 runs and 27 stolen bases.

"They (Mississippi College) are getting a great player," said Coach Andy Kirk. "She's been the top of our lineup for two years and was a vital part of the sophomore class who set a lot of records with wins."

During her freshman campaign, Moore was named to MACJC All-North Division second team after hitting .391 with 40 RBI, 55 runs, 36 stolen bases and four home runs.

Moore helped the Lady Indians extended their MACJC North Division championship streak to four-straight years after earning a split of the division crown and winning 69 games over her two years in red and blue.

"My time here has been great," said Moore. "The coaches are great and it's been a wonderful experience."

Mississippi College is a NCAA Division II school and is a member of the Gulf South Conference. Last season, the Lady Choctaws finished 30-24 and earned a spot in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) World Series.
