FULTON, MS – In a non-division doubleheader, the Itawamba Community College softball squad grabbed game one of the twin bill in dramatic fashion over Calhoun Community College Sunday.

The Lady Indians (23-10. 15-5 MACJC North) rallied in the seventh inning and picked up the 2-1 walk off victory on a double by sophomore Autumn Bonner (Fayette, AL).

With the contest knotted at one, Bonner hit a shot to the outfield for a double that scored Katelynn Downey (Liberty, MO) to give the Lady Indians the win.

The Lady Indians took a lead in the fourth inning of the pitcher's duel on an Arriann Henry (Ecru) double that plated Courtney Roberts (Hatley). Calhoun tied the contest in the top of the sixth, but were unable to push any additional runs across ooff of sophomore Cara Hopper (Caledonia).

Bonner's walk off hit gave Hopper the win and she improves to 4-4. The celebration of the exciting game one win didn't last long as they prepared for game two.
