FULTON, MS – A pair of errors allowed Northwest Community College to pick up the game one win over Itawamba Community College and take sole possession of first place in the MACJC North Division on four unearned runs.

The Lady Rangers (21-6, 14-3 MACJC North) were only able to scatter two hits in the battle for North Division supremacy but took advantage of the Lady Indians miscues to pick up the 4-0 victory.

An error in the first inning gave the Lady Rangers their first run of the game and another error in the fifth frame plated two additional runs and a wild pitch allowed the fourth and final run to cross the plate.

Hannah Johnson (Branson, MO) was hit with the tough luck loss after a two hit performance to fall to 12-3 this season. The Lady Indians (22-9, 14-4 MACJC North) put nine runners on the base paths with three hits, four walks and two errors, but all were left stranded to preserve the Lady Ranger lead.

The Lady Indians only trail the Lady Rangers by one game in the North and look to rebound in game two.
