FULTON, MS - After dropping the first game of the day, ICC rallied to earn a split with a 6-5 win in the nightcap against rival Northeast on Friday.

The Lady Indians (18-8, 10-3 MACJC North) jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead when Haley Moore (Booneville) doubled and scored on a single by Arriann Henry (Ecru), who later scored when Laken Shankle (Bruce) reached on a fielder's choice in the bottom of the first.

Northeast (12-9-1, 7-5 MACJC North) rallied with five runs in the top of the third inning, but ICC bounced back to tie the game, 5-5, in the bottom half of the inning when Henry led off the inning with a solo blast to left, Shankle scored on a wild pitch, and Katelynn Downey (Liberty, MO) scored on a sac fly by Autumn Bonner (Fayette, AL).

Courtney Roberts (Hatley) singled to start the bottom of the fourth and came around to score when Henry ripped her third-straight hit of the game to give the Lady Indians a 6-5 lead.

Cara Hopper (Caledonia) made sure the one-run lead would be enough for the Lady Indians as she only allowed one run and a walk while striking out two over the final two innings of play to earn the win.

Henry went three-for-four with two runs scored and two more driven in to pace ICC's nine-hit performance. Hopper improved to 2-4 after only allowing one hit while walking two and striking out four in 4.2 innings of work.

ICC will host division-leading Northwest at 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 30.
