Former ICC standout third baseman, Lara Andrews, made her professional softball debut with the Pennsylvania Rebellion over the weekend.
Andrews (Wellington, New Zealand) helped lead the Lady Indians to the 2010 MACJC North Division Championship and earned first-team All North Division honors after batting .270 with 23 runs scored, 13 RBI, nine doubles, five stolen bases and a .932 fielding percentage as a freshman.
After one season in Fulton, Andrews signed with the University of Delaware Blue Hens and earned a spot amongst the Top 20 Delaware all-time softball players with nine home runs, 25 doubles, 68 RBI and 133 hits while leading the team to three-straight CAA Tournament appearances and starting 169 games in three seasons.

She was named team captain all three seasons in Delaware. During her sophomore and senior seasons, Andrews was named to the CAA All-Tournament team and earned the university's Alumni Association Team MVP. In 2013, she was named the Team Defensive MVP and was selected to the CAA Academic Honor Roll in all three years as a Blue Hen.
Andrews joined her alma mater as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the softball team in October. She is the first Lady Indian to play professional softball and is also thought to be one of the first softball players from the MACJC to play professionally.
The Rebellion opened their inaugural season with 2-1 and 3-2 wins over the defending NPF Champions USSSA Pride. The NPF is an Official Development Partner of the Major League Baseball.
