Ball-Williamson inducted into Sports Hall of Fame

Itawamba Community College Athletic Director Carrie Ball-Williamson was honored Tuesday night at Hinds Community College as a member of the 2014 Mississippi Community College Sports Hall of Fame class.
Ball-Williamson is in her 21st year at ICC and has been as Athletic Director since 2002 after coaching women's basketball (1993-2006) and softball (1993-98). She served 10 years as Director of Student Activities and was the Assistant Director of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XXIII for 15 years.
The Pontotoc native earned the NJCAA Loyalty Award in 2011, was a member of the 2012 ICC Athletic Hall of Fame class and was named MACJC Women's Basketball Coach of the Year while guiding the Lady Indians to two Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) North Division championships in basketball and three North Division titles and the 1994 State Championship in softball.
Ball-Williamson joins Mark Bray (2007), Joe Ferguson (2007), Larry Gann (2007), Bud Davis (2008), Buster Davis (2008), Linda Partlow (2009), Paul Johnson (2010), Roy Cresap (2011), Mike Eaton (2012) and Jim Walden (2013) as ICC inductees to the Hall of Fame.
The Mississippi Community College Sports Hall of Fame was conceived in the interest of recognizing coaches and athletes who have coaches and/or played in one of more of Mississippi's public community and junior colleges.
The MACJC began the program of recognition in 2007 whereby individuals may be recognized for their contributions to the tremendous success of community and junior college sports in Mississippi.
