Softball moves to No. 17 in latest NJCAA poll

FULTON, MS – After a sweep of Holmes and Gadsden State, the Lady Indians jumped three spots to No. 17 in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Softball poll released on Wednesday.
The Lady Indians (27-10, 17-3 MACJC North) earned the program's highest rankings in the inaugural poll of the season at No. 15 and despite only losing one game slid down to No. 20 in last week's poll.
Phoenix College (AZ) leapfrogged LSU-Eunice (LA) for the top spot this week with fellow MACJC member Jones County Junior College moving up one spot to third. Kirkwood (IA) and Johnson County Community College (KS) round out the Top Five in this week's poll. >>> click here for complete Top 20.
The Lady Indians can wrap up their third-straight MACJC North Division title with a sweep of Coahoma Community College this afternoon on Sophomore Day in Fulton.
