Carver's grand heroics helps No. 20 Lady Indians sweep Gadsden

GADSDEN, AL - Sophomore Cat Carver (Hernando) hit a pinch-hit grand slam in the top of the seventh to lift the Lady Indians past Gadsden State, 8-4, and complete the sweep in Alabama.
Ashley Langford (Caledonia) went 2-for-3 with a home run with Kory Watterson (Nesbit) added a pair of hits to help Kelsey Kesler (Abbeville) pick up the win in relief duty.
Langford homered and Haley Moore (Booneville) had 4 RBIs in the Lady Indians' 8-6 Game 1 victory. Hanah Johnson (Branson, MO) notched her 12th win of the season after giving up three earned runs on 4 hits and 1 walk while striking out 4 batters.
