Hopper named MACJC, NJCAA Player of the Week

FULTON, MS – Itawamba Community College freshman outfielder and pitcher Cara Hopper (Caledonia) has been named Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College's (MACJC) and National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Softball Player of the Week.
Hopper went 11-of-16 at the plate with 3 doubles, a home run, 5 RBI, 6 runs and a sacrifice bunt while scattering 6 hits, allowing no earned runs and striking out 6 batters in 6 innings of work to help the No. 15 Lady Indians (23-10, 15-3) go 5-1 last week and remain in first place in the MACJC North Division.
