Lady Indians go 2-1 against DI foes at TigerFest

Game 1 - Wabash Valley 9 Lady Indians 1 (6 innings)
BOONEVILLE, MS - The Lady Indians opened TigerFest against one of the top teams participating in this year's event and suffered a 9-1 loss after being held to two hits in the game.
Heather Dillard (New Albany) reached on and error and scored the Lady Indians lone run of the game on a double by Kory Watterson (Nesbit).
Laken Shankle (Bruce) had a single in the loss.
Game 2 - Lady Indians 8 Jefferson College 5 (6 innings; time limit)
Dillard went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs and scored a run to help the Lady Indians defeat Jefferson College in the second game of the day.
Catherine Carver (Hernando) and Rachel Elder (Guntown) each doubled and scored a run while Emilee Henderson (Burnsville) and Watterson singled and drove in a run in the win.
Cara Hopper (Caledonia) had a two-run single with Autumn Bonner (Fayette, AL) and Haley Moore (Booneville) had a single in the victory.
Carver went 2-for-3 at the plate.
Hannah Johnson (Branson, MO) gave up four earned runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out three to earn the win.
Game 3 - Lady Indians 2 Three Rivers 1
The Lady Indians closed out the day winning a 2-1 battle against Three Rivers thanks to a solo home run by Watterson in the bottom of the fifth.
Watterson went 1-for-3 and scored a run while Dillard pushed across the first run of the game in the bottom of the second when she reached on a fielder's choice to score Ashley Langford (Caledonia).
