FULTON, MS -- Itawamba Community College head softball coach Andy Kirk announced the signing of former Caledonia High School catcher and Mississippi Delta Community College transfer Ashley Langford on Thursday.
"It feels great knowing that I'll be at ICC," said Langford. "I feel good about being closer to home and being a part of a winning program."
Langford earned Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College (MACJC) All-North Second Team honors after batting .312 during her freshman season at Mississippi Delta.
"We are excited to have Ashley coming into the program," Kirk commented. "She has been in our league for a year and was an All-Division catcher with a really strong arm. She has a lot of power at the plate that we got to see in person when she hit a homerun at our place this season."
She lettered in softball and volleyball while at Caledonia High School and helped the Lady Confederates advance to the first round of the playoffs during her senior season.
