FULTON, MS – The ICC Lady Indians overcame a crucial missed call in the top of the seventh to earn a split with Northeast Mississippi Community College with a 5-4 Game 2 North Division victory.

NECC plated a pair of runs when an obvious foul ball was ruled fair and eventually trimmed the Lady Indians five-run lead to one after a pair of RBI singles before Dani Taylor (Myrtle) entered to pick up her third save on the season striking out the final Lady Tiger looking on four pitches.

ICC scored five runs in the bottom of the third when Ashley Camp (Amory) started the inning drawing a four-pitch walk and advanced to second on an infield single by Lauren Lewis (Mooreville) before both scored on a single to left by Catherine Carver (Hernando) after advancing on a sacrifice bunt by Monica Wade (Florence).

Carver, who advanced to second on the home, went to third on a passed ball and scored on an error by the first baseman before Anna Holley (Columbus), who walked, scored on a single to center by Emilee Henderson (Burnsville).

Henderson scored the eventual game-winning run with Kami Roberts (Smithville) singled to center.

Carver racked up two RBIs on two hits and scored a run to help Montana Hawkins (Sulligent, AL) pick up her sixth win of the season.
