FULTON, MS – The ICC Lady Indians used a five-run third inning to pull away for a 10-1 North Division win in Game 1 of Thursday's doubleheader against Mississippi Delta Community College.

Emilee Henderson (Burnsville) got the Lady Indians on the board with her first of three RBIs on a double to right to score Catherine Carver (Hernando) in the first inning.

The Lady Indians loaded the bases in the bottom of the third after Carver walked, Anna Holley (Columbus) singled and Jessi Patterson (Nettleton) was hit by a pitch to allow Henderson to push across Carver on a four-pitch walk. Kami Roberts (Smithville) scored Holley on a single to left before Patterson scored on a passed ball to give the Lady Indians a 4-0 advantage.

Ashley Camp (Amory) reached on a sacrifice bunt to score Henderson and Roberts scored on a sacrifice fly by Lauren Lewis (Mooreville) to push ICC's lead to 6-0 after three innings complete.

Kory Watterson (Nesbit) and Roberts scored on a double by Megan Jones (Raleigh) to invoke the 8-run mercy rule in a four-run sixth inning.

Henderson finished the game going 3-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and two runs scored while Roberts went 4-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored.

Rebecca Sloan (Woodland, AL) struck out seven batters and allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk in six innings of work.
