Lady Indians' bats ice cold in 2-0 loss to NECC

FULTON, MS – Rebecca Sloan (Woodland, AL) pitched seven innings of solid softball, but the Lady Indians struggled to provide enough offense in a 2-0 Game 1 loss to Northeast Mississippi Community College on Wednesday.
NECC scored a pair of runs in the second inning on an RBI double by Erin Frazier and an RBI single by Bianca Chagolla.
Catherine Carver (Hernando), Anna Holley (Columbus) and Kory Watterson (Nesbit) were the only Lady Indians to manage a hit in the loss.
Sloan was saddled with her third loss of the season after only giving up two runs, both earned, on five hits and three walks with three strike outs in seven innings of work.
