FULTON, MS – The ICC Lady Indians jumped out to an early lead over Mississippi Delta Community College en route to a 16-1 North Division victory on Thursday.

The Lady Indians put nine runs on the board in the first three innings of play and left no doubt with seven runs in the fourth to invoke the 15-run mercy rule as sophomore Jessi Patterson (Nettleton) racked up five RBIs on three hits in the win.

Tied 1-1 after the first inning of play, ICC tacked on three runs in the bottom half of the second before adding five runs in the third when Kory Watterson (Nesbit) doubled and scored on a two-out double by Taylor Seiler (Calhoun City), who was replaced on the bases by Ashley Camp (Amory).

Camp and Rachel Elder (New Albany), who was hit by a pitch, scored when Monica Wade (Florence) reached on an error. Wade scored on a single to left by Catherine Carver (Hernando), who scored when Anna Holley (Columbus) reached via error.

Patterson hit a grand slam to highlight the Lady Indians' seven-run fourth inning as she went 3-for-4 on the day.

Carver went 2-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBI while Seiler and Kami Roberts (Smithville) went 2-for-3 on the day.
