FULTON, MS – For the second time this season a member of the Itawamba Community College Lady Indians' softball team has earned Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Player of the Week honors.

Sophomore outfielder Jessi Patterson (Nettleton) earned the honors after going 6-for-6 with 9 RBI, 6 runs scored along with 3 doubles and 2 home runs in three games.

Patterson went 2-for-2 with a two-run double and a two-run home run with two runs scored in the Lady Indians' 19-1 4-inning Game 1 victory over Coahoma Community College.

ICC swept DI Gadsden State College where she went 3-for-3 with a one-run double, two-run home run and scored three runs in the Lady Indians' 12-4 5-inning Game 1 win while hitting her fifth home run of the season with a two-run bomb to dead center and was walked in her next two at-bats in the 5-4 win.

Freshman third baseman Kory Watterson (Nesbit) was also selected MACJC Player of the Week.

Patterson was selected third-team All-American last season by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
