No. 20 Indians rebound to defeat No. 23 Wallace State, 6-3

HANCEVILLE, Ala. – The Indians rebound after loss to No. 24 Hinds Community College with a 6-3 road win over Wallace State (Ala.) Community College in Hanceville on Tuesday.

Roberto Valadez (New Albany) and Russell Applewhite (Amory) picked up an 8-6 win over Check Freeman and Andrew Bizillia in No. 3 doubles play while David Garcia-Perez (Madrid, Spain) and Edson Marchant (Haleyville, Ala.) gave the Indians a 2-0 lead with an 8-2 victory over Luke Chigwidden and Nick Hester in No. 1 doubles action.

Ezra Blissard (Houston) and Michael Crotts (New Albany) dropped an 8-6 decision in No. 3 doubles to Cade Presnell and Donny Camp.

Blissard picked up a 6-3, 6-0 win over Camp in No. 2 singles action. Valadez notched a 6-3, 7-5 win over Nick Hester in No. 3 singles while Crotts secured the match with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Freeman. Applewhite defeated Austin Leavins 6-2, 7-5 in No. 6 singles.

Garcia-Perez dropped a pair of hard-fought 7-6 sets to fall to No. 41 Presnell in No. 1 singles and Marchant fell 7-5, 6-2 to Bizillia in No. 4 singles play.

ICC will step back into conference play against No. 22 Jones County Junior College on Thursday.
