No. 21 Indians rebound to sweep Northwest, 9-0

SENATOBIA, MS – The No. 21 Itawamba Community College men's tennis snapped its two-match losing skid with a dominating performance in a 9-0 victory at Northwest Mississippi Community College on Monday.

Ezra Blissard (Houston) and David Garcia-Perez (Madrid, Spain) defeated Joshua Stephenson and Adam Holley, 8-1, in No. 1 doubles action. Brendan Jobe (Corinth) and Chris Shands (New Albany) picked up an 8-4 win over Zak Harbin and Dalton Young in No. 2 singles play. Roberto Valadez (New Albany) and Michael Crotts (New Albany) completed the doubles sweep with an 8-0 win in No. 3 doubles over Xavier Curtis and Quentin Hutchinson.

Perez picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win over Stephenson in No. 1 singles while Jobe battled his way to a 6-3, 6-4 win over Dalton Young in No. 2 singles action. In No. 3 singles play, Blissard knocked off Harbin 6-2, 6-3 before Shands handed Holley a 6-1, 6-2 loss in No. 4 singles. Valadez defeated Curtis 6-0, 6-2 and Crotts notched a 6-1, 6-2 win over Hutchinson to complete the perfect day in Senatobia.
