Indians fall to Wolves, 7-2

WESSON, MS – Itawamba Community College men's tennis wrapped up their weekend road schedule Saturday against Copiah-Lincoln Community College, but were unable to pick up the win, falling 7-2.
The Indians (2-3) picked up two exciting wins in singles action as Bryan McDonnieal (Corinth) and Jacob Bozeman (Brookhaven) rallied to defeat their opponents. McDonnieal dropped the first set 4-6 but rebounded with a 6-4 win in the second set to force the tie breaker. In the tie breaker, McDonnieal defeated Skylar Moody 10-6 to take the match.
Bozeman's win was a come from behind victory as well as he rallied to win the second set 6-4 after dropping the first 1-6 to Braxton Hinton. The match was decided in a tie break that Bozeman won 10-5.
The Wolves took the other four singles matches and swept the Indians in double play to pick up the 7-2 win.
The Indians will try to shake off two tough road losses when they host Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Wednesday at 2:00 pm
