Indians fall to Marion Military

FULTON, MS – It was a tough day at the office for the Itawamba Community College men's tennis program Friday as they fell 9-0 to Marion Military Institute.
The Indians (1-1) fell behind early as Marion Military swept doubles action. Mark Robbins (New Albany) and Bryan McDonnieal (Corinth) battled with Harry Foster and Andrew Wright but dropped their 8-4. Lane Brandon (Houston) and Cameron Shumpert (Fulton) won three games over Max Holloway and Xavier Bell but fell 8-3.
Marion Military completed the sweep of doubles play as Adam Dahuey and Shane McDonough defeated Jacob Bozeman (Brookhaven) and Dexter Clay (Shannon) 8-0.
McDonnieal split sets with Foster in singles action 6-3, 5-7, but came up just short in the tie breaker, falling 10-7.
Marion Military finished the day sweeping the Indians to pick up the 9-0 win.
