FULTON, MS -- Itawamba Community College Hall of Fame tennis coach Paul Johnson announced the signing of Petal High School standout Jamison Allred on Friday.

Allred played two seasons at Petal and won back-to-back division championships with the Panthers after transferring from East Webster High School.

"It feels great," Allred said about signing with the ICC men's tennis program. "I'm glad that Coach Johnson is giving me the chance to see what I can do on the next level. I'm very excited to play and become a part of the Indian tradition."

While at East Webster, Allred won the mixed doubles state championship as a freshman and finished runner-up in mixed doubles during his sophomore season while finishing runner-up in boys doubles back-to-back years.

"I saw him play once and that was good enough for me," said Johnson. "I feel like he can really help our program and I'm looking forward to having him here next season."

The Indians won their third-straight Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) state title while finishing second the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 23 tournament and Top 15 finish in the NJCAA Nationals. The ICC men's tennis program was ranked No. 14 nationally in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) final poll of the year.
