FULTON, Miss. – The Indians (1-3, 0-0 MACCC) dropped Friday's non-conference match with Hinds Community College, 5-1.
Hinds (4-0, 0-0 MACCC) struck first on a penalty kick to take a 1-0 lead, which was the score at halftime.
After the break, the Eagles added two more goals to go up 3-0. With 27:10 left to play, the Indians got on the board when Luke Dearsley (Sydney, Australia) scored a goal on an assist from Elijah Belk (Oxford), but Hinds went on to add two more enroute to the 5-1 win.
Niclas Schulze (Hoersholm, Denmark) had two shots on goal, and William Blake (Fulton) recorded four saves in the match.
The Indians will be back in action Sept. 10 for a 3 p.m. road exhibition match against Blue Mountain Christian University's junior varsity team.
