FULTON, Miss. - The Indians took the Region 23 Quarterfinals Round over East Central Saturday at the ICC Soccer Complex, 1-0.
Much like the last time the two teams met earlier this month, it was a tight defensive battle. However, when Russell Brown (New Orleans, La.) was up for a penalty kick in the second overtime period, he put it past the goalkeeper to secure the win for the Indians.
The Indians, now on a three-game winning streak, advance to the Region 23 Semifinals Round, when they will face Gulf Coast at Jones College on Friday at 11 a.m.
